I first read Interview with the Vampire when I was 14. At the time, I got obsessed with the melancholic main character which resonated a lot with my teen angst. Many of the themes interested me at the time, and I also dealt with my own catholic guilt. I read all the books of the series but never stopped loving my sad puppy-eyed Louis. I read one more time when I was alone and isolated at the beginning of the pandemic, and now this year. I have a funny relationship with this book as it's one of my favorites books, but I have to be in a very specific head space for it. I think the topics of being lost, wanting to belong, and looking for answers are easy to relate to, but they always hit too close to home for me. I'm happy that I read it this year and could reflect on some past experiences without being overwhelmed by sad feelings.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you - There's a sexy(?) murder robot in Dead By Daylight, too. His name is HUX-A7-13 a.k.a. The Singularity.

He's a difficult killer to play as, and has a low pick rate as a result. I've been playing him for the last week or so, and I think I'm markedly improving.

You can look up his extended lore on the DBD wiki (which is entwined with the lore of survivor Gabriel Soma), but here's a picture of his in-game model with the default skin:

I remember seeing a lot of people saying things like "oh people assume you're cishet before you come out because it's most common/seen as the default..." But I disagree. Cishet isn't the default in any way, even if common. My take of the day:

Aroace agender is the human default.

Everyone starts off as a baby. And babies are inherently aaa because. Obviously. Babies do not see bodies as anything (other than mother's milk which is food), it's not sexual. Babies do not want romance, only platonic love is enough. Babies don't understand gender stereotypes, and therefore everything is agender. It's just "thing", not "masculine thing" or "feminine thing".

As they grow up, kids of certain ages start understanding and putting weight on gender, giving them a gender identity/ideal. Their bodies look the same as their peers (purely body shape, ignoring hair and clothing etc), so they are the same, therefore there is no "two(or more) genders", and it's just "child".

Most children don't start feeling any kind of romantic attraction until a certain age (if ever). Sexual attraction comes much later too, when teens "discover themselves"(aka coming out as not ace) (if they're not ace).

All this to say, cishet is not default. Kis shouldn't have to "come out" as not cishet, because they shouldn't be assumed to be cishet in the first place. Adults shouldn't push their views onto kids who have yet to even understand these concepts, much less worry about it yet.

also remember fam you can still write fanfic where he's bisexual or gay or ace or anything no matter what they do in canon (i have only watched the first six eps so idk what happens in the last four, but even if he and isobel have a full-on romance that doesn't even actually mean he couldn't be *canonically* bisexual, let alone affect one's ability to headcanon him that way). in my heart of hearts, lady felicia ran away with flambeau at the end of series nine and canon can never take that away from me, lmao. i have no intention of letting anything in the canon dissuade me from the position that inspector sullivan is 110% a disaster bi.

Sky Wielders in Re:Roll V0.2

Please note that the following is playtesting material, and may be changed.

Sky Wielders draw their talents primarily from their Speed, using the element of air and their natural reflexiveness to strike quickly and escape again, rather than focusing too much energy on a single hit. In battle, Sky Wielders are a flurry of movement borne by the wind itself. This battle style is reflected in their personality – Sky Wielders tend to jump quickly to conclusions, and just as quickly to action. Sky Wielders focus on mobility, enhancing their reflexes and speed.

Sky Wielder Keyblades use Quick Attacks for their Weapon Type.

LVL 1: ABILITY POOL*

At first level, you gain access to the following Abilities: Dodge Roll, Block, Reversal

LVL 1: FORMCHANGE

At your first level in Sky Wielding, you have learned to adapt your weapon to the situation.

Choose two Subclasses that belong to a Weapon Class other than Keyblade Wielder. At the beginning of your turn, you can use an action and 2 MP to temporarily change your Keyblade’s shape to one of the two Subclasses. You can spend 2 MP at the beginning of each turn to maintain this form.

While Formchanged, your Keyblade gains the following benefits from its new shape:

You can choose to use the Subclass’s Weapon Type instead of the Sky Wielder’s Quick Attacks.

You can choose to use the Subclass’s Weapon Range rather than your Keychain’s Weapon Range.

You gain access to all the passive benefits of the base Weapon Class.

You gain access to one first-level Ability conferred by the Class or Subclass which you meet any other prerequisites for. You choose the Ability the first time you Formchange, and must use the same Ability when Formchanging the same Subclass later. The Ability must cost 3 AP or lower.

You can choose an additional Subclass to add to your Formchange repertoire each time you gain a level in this Subclass.

You can only Formchange once per battle. If you Formchange outside of combat, you must spend double the MP, and you cannot Formchange again until at least one combat has passed.

LVL 2: REFLEX IMPROVEMENT

At second level, you gain a permanent +1 to your Reflex. This bonus can exceed the usual restrictions on Talent Points.

LVL 3: FEVER PITCH

At level three, you gain access to the Fever Pitch Command Style. While Fever Pitch is active, you roll a d4 each time you use a Combat Ability to attack; if you roll a 4, any being you hit with the attack is Air-Tossed until the start of their next turn.

LVL 4: ABILITY POOL

You gain access to the following Abilities: Aerial Finish, Glide, Reversal Slash

LVL 4: FORMCHANGE IMPROVEMENT

At fourth level, your Formchange improves in the following ways:

You can take two Abilities instead of one from your chosen Subclasses when using Formchange – one from the base class’s first-level Ability Pool, and one from the Subclass’s fourth-level Ability Pool. For existing Formchanges, you can add an Ability from the Subclass’s fourth-level Ability Pool to the Formchange. The new Ability is subject to the same restrictions as the first.

You can trade out any of your Abilities from your existing Formchange Subclasses for another Ability from the Class’ first or fourth-level Ability Pool. When trading out existing Abilities or adding new ones, they now must cost 6 AP or lower instead of 3.

When you meet a character who has levels in a Subclass you’ve chosen for one of your Formchanges, you can spend at least a week of training with that character to gain one additional Ability from either Ability Pools you have access to in that Class/Subclass. You can only do this once per Formchange; if you choose to train in a different Ability for this Formchange, it takes the place of the previous Ability.

LVL 5: CYCLONE

At level five, you gain access to the Cyclone Command Style. While Cyclone is active, Moving does not take any actions, as you rocket across the battlefield like a spinning top.

LVL 6: MULTIVORTEX SHOTLOCK

LVL 7: ABILITY POOL

At seventh level, you gain access to the following Abilities: Ars Arcanum, Horn Strike, Wind Raid

*Further Abilities are available through the base Keyblade Wielder class at the same levels.

ik most of the art ive posted on tumblr is kpop but it is still so crazy to me that whenever i post any art for a non-kpop fandom i immediately get like 2 or 3 times the amount of notes even if its my first time posting that fandom. my singular spaghetti western fanart has 100 notes. my challengers zendaya drawing is at 70. my best performing kpop art is at 50 but most of my other drawings are around 20, and thats only the successful oneus ones - i have a few non-oneus drawings with 10 notes or less. its always surprising to me idk! was just thinking abt it bc i havent posted kpop art in a while so going from mostly non-kpop to kpop is like wow okay im gonna not think about it (also if u want to see my non kpop art this is where i archive all my art :3)
